Yediyurappa was sworn in for the fourth time as the Chief Minister of Karnataka after a long tug of war with the Congress-JD(S) coalition government.
Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala had on Thursday written to Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy asking him to prove majority of the government on the floor of the House by 1:30 pm today.
According to reports, he has 15 days to prove his majority in the House. "We received a communique from the Raj Bhavan, inviting Yeddyurappa to form the government and take oath at 9.30 a.m.," BJP state unit spokesman Vamanacharya said.
If the BJP wins the post-poll match, it will have 21st state in its kitty, ruling over 69% of India's population. And Congress will be reduced to just two states and a union territory – Punjab, Mizoram and Puducherry
