The Guild's statement comes on a day a Delhi court commenced hearing on Akbar's criminal defamation complaint against Priya Ramani.
Akbar had sued Ramani accusing her of "intentionally putting forward malicious, fabricated and salacious" allegations to harm his goodwill and reputation.
