The Supreme Court also disagreed with lawyers' complaints of police atrocities.
NCW Chairperson, Rekha Sharma, has written to the Bar Council of India and Delhi Police Commissioner, Amulya Patnaik demanding an enquiry while expressing displeasure over the incident.
At least 20 police personnel and several lawyers were injured and many vehicles were damaged in the November 2 incident, which escalated after an argument over parking.
The high court had expressed anguish over the 'dissonance and friction' prevailing between the bar and the police, which represent and constitute 'the preserver and the protector of the rule of law' and suggested a meeting between both sides to 'sort out their differences amicably.'
The DPRGOA said in a statement on Wednesday that it is 'deeply concerned' about the incidents of violent clashes between the lawyers and police personnel in the national capital.
The high court also dismissed another application of Delhi Police seeking permission to lodge an FIR against lawyers in the Saket District Court incident in which a cop was slapped by advocates.
