Kumar had on Monday sought extension citing the strike by lawyers in West Bengal because of which he could not move the court in the state.

The CBI had earlier in April moved the Supreme Court seeking permission to arrest and custodial interrogation of Rajeev Kumar.

The probe agency also wants the top court to withdraw its February 5 order granting protection to Rajeev Kumar from arrest.
The Sena said the Centre could have acted against the Kolkata Police chief two months back and the CBI should have carried proper summons before visiting his house to question him.
The Supreme Court on Tuesday directed Rajeev Kumar to cooperate with the CBI in its probe into the Saradha chit fund scam even as the court ordered that Kumar must not be arrested by the agency.
The court also summoned Rajeev Kumar, Chief Secretary and the Director General of Police to appear before it on February 20, which is also the next date hearing.
