The action is being taken against the officials in a nine-year-old case of financial misappropriation. The Vinai Kumar Saxena, who is also the DDA chairman, has also ordered permanent withdrawal of pension of the nine retired officials.
The DDA has filed an appeal before the Real Estate Appellate Tribunal against the requirement of registration of DDA projects under RERA. So far, no projects of the DDA have been registered under RERA, Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Kaushal Kishore said in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha.
The flagship project comprises high-rise residential complexes, including those for the EWS, commercial and office spaces, public utilities, and multi-modal public transport facilities, under the public utility’s Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) norms.
As per the information provided by DDA on its official website, more than 18,000 flats are being offered at a discounted rate under the scheme
A senior DDA official said that people can apply for the scheme till February 7.
The flats under this scheme are those that remained unsold in previous housing schemes of DDA, and are being offered at the old rates or cost in relaxation of the costing policy of DDA, the Authority said in a statement.
