Why are young people prone to colon cancer?
Colon cancer or colorectal cancer is a type of cancer that begins in the colon or rectum. The colon and rectum are parts of the digestive system, responsible for processing food and eliminating waste.
In India there has been an alarming rise in cases of cancer. Kolkata Breast Health And Welfare Association will meet on 7 August at 7.00 pm at ICCR to spend some time with the champions who won over their battle against the perilous malady and celebrate the crusade against cancer.
The curtain raiser for the evening shall be a chorus song by the cancer survivors. The evening shall witness “Songstress” a dance drama directed by. Devajit Bandyopadhyay and conceptualised by Riddhi Bandyopadhyay. Songstress is the story encompassing the life of heroines of Bengal like Binodini, Angurbala, Indubala, Kanan Debi, Chaya Debi, Sushila Sundori, Keya Chakraborty who created their own entity through singing, dancing and acting.
The function will be graced by Soumitra Chatterjee.
