The ceremony will be held at the Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata, where a large gathering of supporters, religious figures, and political leaders is expected.
Ahead of the event, the atmosphere at the venue has been filled with slogans, faith-based expressions, and political excitement, with many calling it the start of what they describe as a “Sanatani government.”

Oath ceremony set at Brigade Parade Ground
The swearing-in ceremony of Suvendu Adhikari is scheduled to take place on Saturday at the historic Brigade Parade Ground. The event marks a significant shift in West Bengal politics, as it will be the first time a BJP leader takes charge as Chief Minister in the state since Independence.
Arrangements at the venue have been made for a large crowd, with tight security and seating planned for political leaders, supporters, invited guests.
The event is expected to be attended by senior national leaders of the BJP as well as Chief Ministers from states governed by the NDA alliance.
Sadhus and supporters speak of “Sanatani government”
At the venue ahead of the ceremony, several sadhus and BJP supporters gathered and expressed strong emotional and religious sentiments about the upcoming change in leadership. Many described the moment as the beginning of a “Sanatani government” in the state.
One sadhu said, “Wherever Prime Minister Narendra Modi goes, the saffron flag rises. That is why I have deep respect for him in my heart.”
Another sadhu added, “Now Ram Rajya has begun, which is why sadhus have gathered here.”
Among supporters, similar emotions were shared. One BJP supporter said, “Today, a Sanatani government is going to be formed. We have come here to fulfill our duty as Sanatanis.”
Another supporter remarked, “PM Modi is like a god to me. PM Modi is India’s lion.”
Some attendees also spoke about a wider cultural shift. A BJP supporter said, “Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the whole of Bengal is turning saffron. A Sanatani government has been formed.”
People present at the venue were seen celebrating the occasion, calling it a historic political moment for the state.
