Rohit would ‘love’ to play Test series against Pakistan in neutral venue
Bilateral cricket between India and Pakistan has been put on hold since Misbah-ul-Haq’s team last toured India to play a three-match ODI series way back in 2012-13.
Thunberg accused the world leaders of betraying her generation by failing to act on climate change and said: “We will not let you get away with this.”
Team India opener Rohit Sharma has heaped praises on Greta Thunberg, the 16-year-old Swedish climate activist, after she delivered a passionate speech questioning and warning the world leaders at the UN Climate Action Summit in New York.
Impressed by her speech and for the urgency to save the climate, Rohit on Tuesday took to Twitter, saying: “Leaving the saving of our planet to our children is utterly unfair. Greta Thunberg, you’re an inspiration. There are no excuses now. We owe the future generations a safe planet. The time for change is now.”

Thunberg accused the world leaders of betraying her generation by failing to act on climate change and said: “We will not let you get away with this.”
“The eyes of all future generations are upon you. And if you choose to fail us I say we will never forgive you. We will not let you get away with this. Right here, right now is where we draw the line. The world is waking up. And change is coming, whether you like it or not.”
Notably, Thunberg, arrived in the US last month on a solar-powered yacht, has already blasted US Congress and leaders at the UN. She also sat down with former US president Barack Obama, and received an Amnesty International award.
On Monday, she joined 14 other children to lodge a formal complaint under the UN convention on the rights of the child. The complainants, from countries, including Argentina, the Marshall Islands, France, Germany and the US, claim that countries’ failure to address the climate crisis violates the international convention.
