Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo will be fit for the UEFA Champions League final on May 26,  Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane has insisted.

“He got injured but is doing well, walking as normal. It is great that he can walk already and that shows his drive and ambition to get back and play every game,”Zidane stated at a presser ahead of his side’s La Liga clash with Sevilla.

Ronaldo injured his ankle while scoring the 1-1 during Real’s El Clasico tie with Barcelona on Sunday and while he completed the first-half, the fact that he did not come onto the pitch after the interval had fans worried.

“It would be perfect to have him back for the Villarreal game. it is a knock, but he didn’t damage his fibula. His ankle is ok.”

Apart from Ronaldo, the only other injury concerns for the Spanish giants are midfielder Isco and fullback Dani Carvajal. But Zidane had a positive update on the duo as he revealed, “Isco trained as normal and we’ll see what happens there. Carvajal needs a little more time but he trained alone today and he is doing well physically.”
