Alberto Moreno may be struggling for game time at Liverpool this season, but the Spaniard’s shown he’s got some serious skills as a video of him executing a perfect rabona has gone viral on Instagram.

Most footballers can do the rabona with ease, but the fact that Moreno scored from a corner and from more than 20 yards out with near-perfect trajectory is commendable indeed.

Despite Jurgen Klopp’s insistence at the start of the season that the pacey fullback would be featuring in his first-team plans, Moreno’s found minutes hard to come by this season.

While he’s started seven UEFA Champions League games for the Reds, Moreno’s started Premier League just 12 times in the Premier League.

The most damming statistic, however, is that the 25-year-old former Seville man has only been named in the starting XI twice in 2018.

Andy Robertson’s fine form at left-back has seen the Scot surge ahead in the pecking order and it seems inevitable Moreno will depart Anfield in the summer.

Liverpool next take on bottom-ranked West Bromwich Albion on Saturday for a Premier League fixture but with the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final with Roma drawing near, Klopp may be tempted into making some changes for their trip the Hawthorns Stadium.

The continental clash with the unpredictable Giallorossi comes in midweek and Moreno could be in line for his first Premier League start since November 2017 when they take on the Baggies as Klopp seeks to keep his backline fresh.

However, while the title race may be over, the race for the top-four is very much alive and Liverpool are just four points behind second-placed Manchester United, which makes Saturday’s clash with West Brom a must-win.
