Cristiano Ronaldo, the proud owner of the finest supercar collection in the world, was all smiles and brimming with delight at yet another new acquisition, the Bugatti Chiron, which would have set him back by a whopping $3 million.

The 32-year-old footballing superstar, who reportedly earns £500,000 per week from club Real Madrid, can easily afford the supercar, which has an electronically limited top-speed of 420km/h.

The Chiron, which is the successor to the Veyron, houses a 8-litre W16 quad-turbocharged engine and according to Bugatti, the car can accelerate from 0–97 km/h (in 2.4 seconds 0–200 km/h in 6.5 seconds and 0–300 km/h in 13.6 seconds.

Sensational stats but apt for a player who continues to break all manner of goalscoring records and is still going strong at 32.

Ronaldo will hope the car brings him luck as Real Madrid host Espanyol in the La Liga on Sunday night in what is a must-win game for the defending champions for Los Blancos are trailing arch-rivals Barcelona by seven points in the league table.
