After winning the four-match Test series and the three-match One Day International series 2-1 against Australia, Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma spent their time watching the Australian Open in Melbourne on Saturday.

Virat Kohli took to Twitter to post a picture of himself and Anushka Sharma along with Tennis great Roger Federer. “What a day at the Australian Open. An amazing way to finish the Australian summer. Forever grateful #ausopen,” Kohli captioned the image on Twitter.

Kohli also posted a picture of 23-time Grand Slam winner Serena Williams in action at the Australian Open.

Meanwhile, after Team India’s emphatic series win in Australia, Kohli defended former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni and said he should be given some breathing space.

Heaping praises on Dhoni, Kohli went on to say that “no one is more committed to Indian cricket” than the wicket-keeper batsman.

“I think firstly as a team we are very happy for Dhoni. That he is amongst the runs because it is very important to get runs under your belt to get that rhythm and get that confidence back. Especially when you have not been playing so much international cricket,” Kohli said at the post-match press conference.

Kohli added, “Many things happen on the outside. People say a lot of things but as an individual, we know that there is no one more committed to Indian cricket than Dhoni and people should let him have his space because he has contributed so much for the nation.”
