While answering the question, cricket lovers expressed freely. But three names were common in almost every answer and its none other than former captains Sourav Ganguly, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and ‘run machine’ Virat Kohli.

“To be very honest its the efforts of @SGanguly99 and the team including all senior players like sir rahul dravid, laxman sir, sachin sir and after that youngistan MSD, yuvi, zak, bajji, you and many more. Its true efforts of every player who contributed towards it (sic.),” wrote a cricket fan.

While responding to the Tweet, another Twitter user, named Harsha, wrote, “Sourav Ganguly, MS Dhoni & Virat Kohli”

The former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly who is also popularly known as ‘the Prince of Kolkata’ had led India in 147 ODIs, of which India won 76 times.

Under the leadership of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the Men-in-Blue had lifted the trophy of three most important ICC tournaments (ICC World Cup 2011, ICC World T20 2007 and ICC Champions Trophy 2013).

The ‘run machine’ Virat Kohli is the current skipper of the Indian team and under his captaincy, India had won nine consecutive Test series. A record that Indian team shared with Australia.
