Dinesh Karthik, along with all-rounder Krunal Pandya, almost snatched a win in the third and last T20I against New Zealand as the duo added 63 runs for the seventh wicket while chasing a mammoth total of 213 runs.
However, Dinesh Karthik has come under fire from the Twitterati after he refused to take a single when India needed 14 runs off 4 balls in the final over. Not only Krunal Pandya has a better strike rate than Karthik, but a left-hander at the crease would have unsettled the bowler.
Karthik backed himself to win the game for India but that did not happen and Twitter went all guns blazing.
