Intel appoints Santhosh Viswanathan as India region head
Chip maker Intel on Friday said that it appointed Santhosh Viswanathan to head the India region business as its Managing Director (MD).
After the conclusion of eleventh edition of Indian Premier (IPL) League, Virat Kohli-led Indian cricket team will begin on a long tour to England. With the England tour, India will continue their preparation for the upcoming International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup next year.
Recently, the World number one in ICC Test ranking India lost the three-match Test series against South Africa in the Rainbow Nation.
However, the Men-in-Blue bounced back in the six-match One-day International (ODI) series and won it by a margin of 5-1.

However, now it is being reported that the Indian cricket team can leave for their England tour way earlier than expected.
According to a report in the Times of India, a BCCI official was quoted saying, “One thing is certain. If the Indian team had spent at least 10 days in South Africa before the first Test, it would have made a lot of difference to the end result. The team is determined that each player gets enough time and exposure in England before the actual series begins.”
“The idea is to park more and more players in England and ensure that the cricketers are ready for the entire series. With England also scheduled to host the 50-over World Cup next year, this tour is very important for us,” the source added.
India cricket team is currently in South Africa for three-match T20I series. Virat Kohli’s squad are scheduled to play three T20s, three ODIs and five Tests in England between July and September.
