Cash prize: Union sport minister Jitendra Singh on Wednesday announced a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 to each member of the national junior women’s hockey team who had recently won the World Cup bronze medal.
Rogers Cup: In Toronto, Sania Mirza and partner Zheng Jie advanced to the second round in a tie-breaker at the Rogers Cup  tournament, beating Natalie Grandin and Darija Jurak 4-6, 7-6 (7-5), 10-2 on Tuesday.
