Devvarman wins: India’s Somdev Devvarman notched up a stunning 6-3, 7-6 (7/4) victory over defending champion Alexandr Dolgopolov to advance to the pre-quarterfinals of the ATP 500 Citi Open in Washington.

MCA elections: The bi-annual elections of the Mumbai Cricket Association are unlikely to be held before October, its president Ravi Savant said .  “ The audited accounts will not be ready till September,” Savant said.
Under-19 series: A four-nation under-19 one-day quadrangular series is to be held at Visakhapatnam from September 23, according to Cricket Board sources.  India, Australia, South Africa and Zimbabwe are to take part.
