India batting legend Sachin Tendulkar shared a heartfelt message for tennis great Roger Federer after the two sporting icons reunited at Wimbledon.

Posting a picture with the 20-time Grand Slam champion on X, Tendulkar wrote, “Some rallies never end. Our friendship is one of them. Always a pleasure spending time with you, Roger. Until we meet again.”

Tendulkar was among a host of distinguished guests in the Royal Box at the All England Club on Friday, joining an elite gathering that included India Test captain Shubman Gill, West Indies batting legend Brian Lara, Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk, and Leeds United chairman Paraag Marathe.

Gill, who is currently in England, experienced a Wimbledon match from the Royal Box for the first time before returning to his cricket commitments.

Tendulkar’s interaction with Lara also caught the attention of fans, rekindling memories of one of cricket’s greatest rivalries. While the pair battled fiercely on the international stage for years, they have since shared the field in exhibition and charity matches.

On Centre Court, Alexander Zverev continued his impressive Grand Slam form by defeating British wildcard Arthur Fery 7-6(0), 6-2, 6-4 to book his maiden Wimbledon final.

The second seed, who claimed his first Grand Slam title at Roland Garros last month, overcame a competitive opening set before taking control of the contest. The victory sent Zverev into his fifth Grand Slam final and his first at Wimbledon, while extending his winning streak at majors to 13 matches.
