The sudden demise of Bollywood’s legendary actress Sridevi has left everyone heart-broken. Be it, actor, sports personality or the fans of the actor, they are finding it hard to accept that the ‘Lamhe’ actor is no more. Sridevi died in Dubai on late Saturday night after suffering a cardiac arrest.

Not just India, but even cricketers from across the border are mourning the death of the Bollywood diva.

From former Pakistani bowler Waqar Younis and Shoaib Akhtar to former Indian skipper Anil Kumble and badminton superstars Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu, the sports fraternity came out in numbers to offer their condolences to the family of the actress.

Waqar Younis took it to Twitter and wrote, “We are deeply saddened by the news of Sridevi’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family #RIP”

 

“Will miss u mam …. #srideviBkapoor ..RIP 🙏🙏,” Saina Nehwal wrote on Twitter.

 

Dipa Karmakar took it to the micro-blogging site and said, “Saddened by the sudden demise of the legendary #Sridevi. My condolences to her family. My her soul rest in peace.

 

“Such sad and shocking news. My condolences to the family #RIPSridevi🙏🏻” PV Sindhu expressed her sadness on Twitter.

 

One of the fastest bowlers of his era, Shoaib Akhtar wrote on Twitter, “Saddened by her sudden demise! RIP #Sridevi.”

 

“गुम हो गई बॉलीवुड की चाँदनी,अलविदा श्री देवी।#Sridevi #RIPSridevi,” Boxer Vijender Singh wrote on Twitter.

 

“Oh my god .. my fav #SRIDEVI 😔😔RIP .. prayers and condolences to her family and all her fans,” wrote Parupalli Kashyap in his Tweet.

 

Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag took it to Twitter and wrote “Shocked to hear about the demise of #Sridevi ji .Heartfelt Condolences to the family. Om Shanti !”.

 

Veteran Indian batsman VVS Laxman wrote, “Very shocked to hear about the passing away of iconic actress #Sridevi ji. Condolences to her family and loved ones. May her soul rest in peace.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

Former head coach of India, Anil Kumble wrote, ” Saddened and shocked to learn about the untimely death of #Sridevi Condolences to her family and friends.”

 

Sachin Tendulkar also mourned the sudden demise of Sridevi, saying it is hard to digest that the veteran actress is no more.

“It is really sad. When I woke up and read about it … it is really sad I have no words to express because we all grew up watching her and suddenly to hear that she is no longer with us is hard to digest,” Tendulkar said after flagging off the 3rd IDBI Federal Life Insurance New Delhi Marathon on Sunday.

“My condolences to her family members and everyone who followed her and loved her for everything that she was and everything she did for us,” he added.
