Intel appoints Santhosh Viswanathan as India region head
Chip maker Intel on Friday said that it appointed Santhosh Viswanathan to head the India region business as its Managing Director (MD).
On Tuesday, Shafali took the strike in her maiden T20I innings but failed to impress as she was caught out by Tumi Sekhukhune at mid-on on the ball Shabnim Ismail after a fourth ball duck.
Right-arm opening batter Shafali Verma on Tuesday became the youngest T20I debutant for India when she was named in the playing XI for the first T20 against South Africa at the Lalabhai Contractor Stadium in Surat.
Shafali, 15, opened the batting for India but was out for a duck. Talking across all formats, she is the second-youngest player to represent India after Gargi Banerjee.
BCCI Women took to Twitter congratulating the teenager, saying, “What a moment this is for the hard-hitting batter Shafali Verma, who makes her India debut today. She is only 15!”

Shafali earned her India debut on the back of a superb domestic season where she amassed 1,923 runs, including six hundreds and three half-centuries.

Talking about the match, India eves defeated South Africa by 11 runs in the first T20I of the five-match series, courtesy off-spinner Deepti Sharma, who took three wickets and bowled as many maiden overs.
Earlier, put in to bat by South Africa skipper Sune Luus, India scored 130 for 8 in their stipulated quota of 20 overs, riding captain Harmanpreet Kaur’s 34-ball 43, which was laced with three fours and two sixes.
