After Twitterati and teammate Cheteshwar Pujara praised Hardik Pandya’s heroic inning in the first test match between Indian and South Africa at Newlands Cape Town on Saturday.
Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar took his ‘sentiments’ it to another level by comparing Pandya to Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan.
Manjrekar took to micro-blogging site Twitter saying, “Like Amitabh Bachchan used to play those double roles, Hardik Pandya also showed two characters in his superb innings. The modern T20 player along with the orthodox classical Test batsman.”
Visitors were in a lot trouble after the failure of their top order in the first inning of the opening Test match. India’s score was 76 for 5, when Pandya came to bat.
