Chelsea skipper Gary Cahill took the responsibility of his team’s 1-2 defeat against Crystal Palace in a hard-fought game at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

“The performance level today was not up to the standard it should be. We played poorly,” Cahill said as quoted by AFP.

It was Chelsea’s second successive defeat in the Premier League as they earlier lost 1-0 loss to Manchester City before the international break.

Antonio Conte-coached side, beaten three times this season, are now nine points behind leaders Manchester City.
