Premier League: Palmer, Mudryk help Chelsea beat Newcastle 3-2
Jackson put Chelsea ahead after just six minutes as he improved inside the penalty box to guode a low drive from Palmer into the corner of the Newcastle net.
It was Leicester City who looked the better side on display in the second half. They in fact dominated the latter half and as a result, when it mattered the most, Ndidi scored the equaliser.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard stated that being the manager of Chelsea at their home ground Stamford Bridge was undoubtedly the “stuff of dreams”, despite Wilfred Ndidi’s header in the second half ensuring that the match ends in a draw and Leicester City earn a point which they thoroughly deserve.
Chelsea took the lead early in the first half when 20-year old midfield player Mason Mount scored a memorable goal to put them in the driver’s seat. He first claimed the possession outwitting Wilfred Ndidi and then beat Kasper Schmeichel with a low drive.
Lampard’s Chelsea were impressive in the first half, playing attacking style of football and creating many chances with Pedro volleying a shot straight into the side netting and N’Golo Kante being denied a goal.
