It is an extensively reported fact that the Manchester United star player Paul Pogba was very close to making an exit from the club. However, the fact that Real Madrid failed to meet Manchester United’s valuation of Pogba meant that no deal concerning Pogba could materialise and he seems all set for another season with Manchester United.

United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been firm on his stance regarding Pogba and despite a late bid from Real Madrid which implied that James Rodriguez would have come to United in exchange for Pogba in a player plus cash deal, Solskjaer somehow managed to keep their star striker in their team.

As per multiple reports, the deal could not materialise since United had expected a minimum of £140 million for the player but Madrid were offering only £27.6 million in addition to James Rodriguez.

The other thing which went against Real Madrid’s bid was that Pogba features in as many as five pre-season matches for Manchester United and was notably one of their finest performers.

However, a new report published in The Athletic, a sports website, states that even while the transfer window is closed, Poga might reconsider his decision of spending yet another season with Manchester United but only if Real Madrid submit an improved offer. The same report also adds that he is desperate to try and prove himself and a move away from Manchester United is highly unlikely now.
