Pakistan Cricket Board chief Mohsin Naqvi is reportedly set to meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, with a final call on Pakistan’s participation expected by Friday or Monday.
The uncertainty comes after Bangladesh withdrew from the tournament, citing security concerns. The ICC replaced Bangladesh with Scotland, a decision that did not sit well with Pakistan, who had backed Bangladesh’s stance.
