India’s double Olympic medallist wrestler Sushil Kumar today said sports administrators in the country had not taken him seriously when he alleged he was urged to lose the 2010 World Championships final in Moscow in return for a huge amount of money.
“I said it even in 2010 but nobody responded. I’m not in FILA (the world body for wrestling) or any other federation, so I can’t say if the Russian’s medal should be taken away,” Sushil told a television network.
He was referring to his 66 kg freestyle bout against Russian Alan Gogayev.
