Mandaviya, Seth interact with people, security forces in Ladakh’s border village

Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment, Mansukh Mandaviya, along with Minister of State for Defence, Sanjay Seth, on Saturday visited Phobrang Village in Ladakh under the Viksit Vibrant Villages Programme (VVVP).

During the visit, the Union Ministers interacted with local residents, MY Bharat volunteers, ITBP personnel, Army officers, and other stakeholders at the Community Hall, reaffirming the Government of India’s commitment to the holistic development of border villages and empowering youth through active community participation.

As part of the programme, they participated in a plantation drive, emphasising the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable development in the ecologically sensitive border region. The initiative reflected the government’s commitment to promoting a greener and more sustainable future for the Vibrant Villages.

The programme was attended by Nitish Rajora, Deputy Commissioner, Changthang; Tashi Namgyal, Deputy Inspector General (DIG), ITBP, Leh Frontier; Ms Tajamul Ara, State Director, MY Bharat, UT Ladakh; Army officers; MY Bharat officials; ITBP personnel; public representatives, and local residents.
