Manpreet Singh-led Indian men’s hockey team is set to take on arch-rivals Pakistan in their third match of the Asia Cup in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Leading the points table, India have defeated Japan (5-1) and Bangladesh (7-0) in past and will look to keep the winning momentum intact on Sunday.
On the other hand, Pakistan started their campaign on a high as they routed Bangladesh 7-0 in the opening match. However, they managed to salvage a 1-1 draw against Japan in their second match.

The two arch-rivals last played each other in the Hockey World League Semi Final in London earlier this year.
India skipper Manpreet Singh recalled the last meet, in which his boys routed Pakistan by 7-1 in the pool stage and followed it up with a 6-1 win in the classification match.
“What happened in London is history for us now. We did well there but to repeat similar results we want to focus on our game,” Manpreet stated on the eve of the match.
Head to head, Pakistan have won 25, lost 21 and drawn four matches to India in major tournaments since 1956.
