Star Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan has criticised Pakistan for giving suggestions to India on its internal affairs. He went on to suggest that Pakistan should focus on setting their own house in order before making any comments on other countries.
Speaking on the India TV network, the southpaw stated that he would definitely object any outsider speaking against the country.
“If someone says something about our country, of course, we will say stand up. We don’t need outsiders to advise us. First fix things in your own country and then speak about others. There is a saying ‘Jinke ghar kaanch ka hoh, woh dusro ke ghar pathar nahi phekte (People with glass houses, shouldn’t throw stones),” Dhawan said during his interaction with India TV on their popular show ‘Aap Ki Adaalat.’

Notably, in April this year, Dhawan had slammed Shahid Afridi for his comments concerning Kashmir. Dhawan had stated that India does not need any kind of advice from outsiders and is capable of taking decision on its own being a sovereign country.
Dhawan also backed wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant and said he was hopeful that he would make a long career for India.
“Rishabh is very talented and I am sure he will have a long career for India. He is trying hard. There are situations when you don’t score, but then you learn from them. It happens with everyone and I’m sure he will learn from it,” he said.
