With the growing popularity of gully cricket across the country, the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) has announced a prize pool of Rs 5.92 crore for Season 3, underlining its focus on strengthening grassroots cricket.

The tennis-ball T10 league will run from January 9 to February 6, 2026, with all matches scheduled to be held at the Lalbhai Contractor Stadium in Vesu, Surat, Gujarat.

Continuing its emphasis on creating opportunities through sport, the ISPL will feature eight teams: Majhi Mumbai, Chennai Singams, Tiigers of Kolkata, Falcon Risers Hyderabad, Bengaluru Strikers, Srinagar Ke Veer, Ahmedabad Lions, and Delhi Superheros.

The league has positioned itself as a platform that not only showcases raw street-cricket talent but also ensures players are financially rewarded for their performances. The Season 3 champions will receive Rs 2 crore, while the runners-up will be awarded Rs 1 crore.

Individual performances will also be recognised extensively. The Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the season will receive a brand-new Porsche 911. Additionally, Man of the Match awards worth Rs 50,000 will be presented in each of the 44 matches, amounting to a total of Rs 22 lakh, while Fan of the Match awards of Rs 20,000 per game will total Rs 8.8 lakh. Special awards of Rs 2.5 lakh each will be given to the Best Batsman, Best Bowler, and Best Fielder for exceptional performances in the final.

The ISPL Core Committee includes Sachin Tendulkar, Ashish Shelar, Minal Amol Kale, and Suraj Samat, who continue to guide the league with a long-term vision focused on opportunity, inclusion, and professional growth for grassroots cricketers.

Commenting on the announcement, Suraj Samat, Core Committee Member and League Commissioner of the ISPL, said the league was created with a clear purpose.

“ISPL was built to give grassroots cricketers financial security, recognition, and a platform to grow. Vijay Pawle’s record Rs 32.50 lakh signing highlights the value now being placed on grassroots talent. A prize pool of nearly Rs 6 crore reflects our commitment to rewarding not just title winners, but consistent performers and match-winners throughout the season. This structure allows players to dream bigger and view grassroots cricket as a viable professional pathway,” Samat said.

The league also witnessed significant investment at the Season 3 player auction, where franchises spent around Rs 10 crore. Vijay Pawle, acquired by defending champions Majhi Mumbai for Rs 32.50 lakh, became the costliest signing in ISPL history.

Adding further star power, former India captain Sourav Ganguly has joined Tiigers of Kolkata as co-owner and mentor for the upcoming season.
