Mumbai Indians (MI) have confirmed that Quinton de Kock and Raj Angad Bawa have been ruled out of the remainder of IPL 2026 due to injuries, dealing a further blow to their already-eliminated campaign.

In an official statement on Monday, the franchise said that South African opener Quinton de Kock has been sidelined with a tendon injury in his left wrist, which he sustained before MI’s clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 29.

“Quinton de Kock has been ruled out due to a tendon injury in his left wrist, which he sustained prior to our home game against Sunrisers Hyderabad,” MI said.

All-rounder Raj Angad Bawa has also been ruled out after suffering a ligament tear in his right thumb during MI’s match against Punjab Kings on May 14.

“Raj Angad Bawa sustained a ligament tear to his right thumb during our previous match against Punjab Kings and will miss the rest of the season,” the franchise added.

MI further stated that both players will continue their rehabilitation at home, with the franchise’s medical team monitoring their recovery and providing ongoing support to aid their return to competitive cricket.

“Both Quinton and Raj Bawa will continue their rehab in their respective homes, with support and guidance from the Mumbai Indians medical team to help them return to play as soon as possible,” the statement read.

Meanwhile, MI’s IPL 2026 campaign has already ended in disappointment, with the Hardik Pandya-led side officially knocked out of the playoff race after managing just four wins from 12 matches.
