IPL 2023 mini auctions are turning out to be as intense as one could have expected. It seems calling it a mini auction has no justification.  As many as 405 players, including 273 Indian players and 132 overseas players, are going to be featured in the auctions.

Here are all live developments taking place in the auctions

In the first set:

Kane Williamson

Sold to Gujarat Titans at a base price of 2 crore. It is termed a steal deal by cricket experts as Kane Williamson is not just a quality overseas batsman but also a potential leader. Ashish Nehra is being commended for his witty move.

Harry Brook

As expected, Harry Brook was in much demand as his name appeared next to Kane. After a fierce bidding battle, Sunrisers Hyderabad went all the way to purchase him at whopping 13.25 crore. He is a destructive English batter who can add a lot of value to Hyderabad.

Mayank Agarwal

Former Punjab King’s captain Mayank Agarwal too became a millionaire as Sunrisers Hyderabad added him to the squad at a staggering 8.25 crore.  He is a class Indian opener and also a potential captain.

Ajinkya Rahane

Veteran Indian batsman Ajinkya Rahane was bought by Chennai Super Kings at a base price of 50 lakh.
