A 12-year-old cricketer from India was reportedly found dead in a hotel swimming pool in Sri Lanka.
According to media reports, the young cricketer was a resident of Gujarat and came with a 19-boy team to take part in an under-17 cricket tournament in Sri Lanka.
According to the Sri Lankan police, the accident happened on Tuesday evening at a hotel in Pamunugama.

The police was quoted as saying that four Indian boys were swimming in the hotel pool, where one of the boys allegedly drowned.
The deceased cricketer was admitted to Pamunugama Hospital that later announced him dead.
The post-mortem examination is underway and Pamunugama Police is investigating the matter.
