Indian cricket team-led by Virat Kohli on Saturday departed for the 81-day-long tour of Ireland and England. Ahead of India’s daunting tour, head coach Ravi Shastri and Virat Kohli were excited and optimistic while talking about the tour at the pre-departure press conference on Friday. The 29-year-old captain even said that India is ready to play tough cricket and he has fully recovered from the neck injury.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter, and shared team India’s departure pictures.

“#TeamIndia enroute England ✈✈,” BCCI captained the picture.

“Little Radha wanted a picture with #TeamIndia captain @imVkohli and the smile on her face tells the story,” BCCI wrote in another Tweet.

Skipper Virat Kohli also shared a picture of team India on Twitter and captioned it, “Off we go. UK Bound! 👍💪@msdhoni @SDhawan25 Arun Kanade.”

India’s tour to Ireland will kickstart on 27 June.
