Young Mumbai batsman Prithvi Shaw has become the youngest Indian cricketer to score a Test ton in his debut match. Shaw scored his maiden Test century on Thursday after he was handed his Test cap to play first of the two-match Test series between India and West Indies. The opening Test match between India and West Indies is being played at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.

Applauding Prithvi Shaw’s performance, International Cricket Council (ICC) wrote on the micro-blogging site Twitter: ” WHAT A DEBUT 👏

Prithvi Shaw brings up his maiden Test 💯. At 18 years 329 days, he has now become the youngest Indian to score a century on debut! 🔥”
