After his embarrassing performance in the recently concluded Test series, Rohit Sharma’s drought for runs is on in the One Day International (ODI) series as well.

In his last 11 innings in the rainbow nation, Sharma has scored just 126 runs with an average of 11.45 at a strike rate of 53.41 with 23 runs as his highest score.

And now once again, Rohit Sharma failed to impress his fans in the Pink ODI as he was sent back by Proteas Kagiso Rabada for 5 runs.

Just after Sharma’s departure, Twitterati started mocking him for his performance despite having being given many chances.

“Minimum conditions required for Rohit Sharma to hit a Century!

1. Eden Garden

2. Running-Out Kohli

3. Wife’s Birthday

4. Wedding Anniversary

5. Karva Chauth

6. Valentines Day,” writes a Twitter user on the micro-blogging site.

” Before this series i saw some Rohit Sharma fans discussing that Rohit will overtake Virat Kohli in the ICC ODI Rankings to become the No.1 Batsman. LOL!!,” wrote another cricket fan.

In the ongoing ODI series, India have take the lead of 3-0.

Earlier in the day, after winning the toss, Virat Kohli opted to bat first and till filling of this story, India have scored 166 runs in 27 overs. Kohli (68) and Shikhar Dhawan (86) were at the crease.

In the recently concluded three-match Test series, Indian skipper Virat Kohli had been heavily criticised by fans and critics alike for his decision to retain Rohit Sharma instead of Test specialist Ajinkya Rahane in the first Two Test match.

India had lost the three-match Test series 2-1.
