Virat Kohli and his men will be aiming to make history by clinching their maiden bilateral 50-over series against South Africa when they take on the Proteas in the fifth ODI at Port Elizabeth on Tuesday.

India had started their six-match ODI series on a great note as the Men-in-Blue were unstoppable in the first three matches, taking a 3-0 lead. They won the first match by six wickets, the second by nine wickets and the third by 124 runs. However, their winning-spree was halted by the hosts in Johannesburg, as Virat and Co. lost the plot in the rain-truncated match by five wickets.

Kohli, with 393 runs in the ODI series so far has led India from the front. He has been ably supported by opener Shikhar Dhawan, who has looked in fine nick. However, one-day specialist Rohit Sharma has been a cause of worry, as the Mumbai lad has merely scored 40 runs in the four matches.

But the Indian bowlers have complimented their batsmen throughout the series so far, as the wrist spinning pair of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal have been hard to be picked up by South African batsmen. The pace bowlers, including Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, too, have been bowling according to the plan, making life easy for their skipper.

However, South Africa will be high on confidence after winning the last ODI and with the return of AB de Villiers to the side after injury, the hosts will look to narrow down the margin to 2-3. With wicket-keeper batsman Heinrich Klaasen, showing the abilities to negotiate the Indian wrist spinners well and with batsmen like Hashim Amla, Jean-Paul Duminy and David Miller in their side, they for sure will come hard on the Indian side.
