Rain halted the third day’s play of the second cricket Test between South Africa and India at the SuperSport Park on Monday. However, Faf du Plessis side had taken a 96 run-lead before the game was interrupted after post tea session.

Earlier, Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah disturbed South Africa’s batting order by sending Hashim Amla(1) and Aiden Markram (1) back to the pavilion. But AB de Villiers along with opener Elgar stabilised the Proteas innings, as the duo went on to add 65 runs before it started pouring.
