Former Australian great Shane Warne has heaped praises on Indian skipper Virat Kohli after his marathon innings in the second Test match which took India close to Oz’s first innings total. Virat Kohli smashed a solid 123 runs before India were bowled for 283 runs in reply to Australia’s first innings total of 326.

The second Test match between India and Australia is being played at the brand new Perth stadium where the wicket is known for its lush green grass which offers extra support to bounce and pace.

Shane Warne took to micro-blogging site Twitter to congratulate Virat Kohli after he smashed the 25th century in the longest format of the game.

“Congrats to @imVkohli on another magnificent 100. A completely different class to any other batsman playing international cricket & on the planet. An absolute joy to watch – well played ! India now have their noses ahead, 2nd new ball again an issue for the Aussies !” Shane Warne wrote on Twitter.

Earlier in the day, resuming the game at 172 runs for the loss of three wickets, the Indian team were bowled out for 283 with Australian off-spinner Nathan Lyon taking five wickets.
