Intel appoints Santhosh Viswanathan as India region head
Chip maker Intel on Friday said that it appointed Santhosh Viswanathan to head the India region business as its Managing Director (MD).
In the second of the three-match T20 International series between India and South Africa, India defeated South Africa by 7 wickets in Mohali to go 1-0 up in the series with a solitary match yet to be played. The stars of the match for the home team were Deepak Chahar with the ball who produced an outstanding spell of bowling to pick up 2 wickets for just 22 runs in his quota of overs and Virat Kohli (72) and Shikhar Dhawan (40) who stitched in useful contributions to claim victory in the match.
After winning the toss and electing to bowl first in Mohali, the Men in Blue picked up the wicket of R Hendricks early, courtesy Deepak Chahar. However, post that dismissal, South Africa stitched in useful partnership. Captain Quinton de Kock (52) and debutant T Bavuma (49) added 57 runs for the second wicket but India came back again by breaking the partnership at the right moment. A late flourish got South Africa to a challenging total of 149 runs but against the mighty Indian batting order, it did not prove to be enough.
Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan got India off to a flier and despite India Rohit (12) losing soon after, they never looked to be in some kind of trouble. Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan added 61 runs for the second wicket and ensured that India were cruising along nicely with no real pressure of the required run rate.

Despite the hosts losing Dhawan and Rishabh Pant (4) in quick succession, Kohli and Shreyas Iyer (16) played with maturity and got India across the line to hand quite easily in the end. B Fortuin, T Shamsi and Andile Phehlukwayo picked up a wicket each for South Africa.
The teams will now meet in the deciding T20I match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday.
