India A completed a dominant 10-wicket victory over Sri Lanka A in the second unofficial Test on Sunday, with fast bowler Gurnoor Brar producing a match-winning 10-wicket haul to seal the two-match series 1-0.

The tall pacer finished with career-best match figures of 10 for 145, following up his four wickets in the first innings with a superb 6 for 68 in the second as India wrapped up victory inside four days.

Resuming the day at 541/8, India A added just two runs before left-arm spinner Keshara Nuwantha claimed his fifth wicket by dismissing Yash Thakur. Ruturaj Gaikwad, who had retired hurt overnight, did not return to bat as India were bowled out for 543, securing a commanding 177-run first-innings lead.

Sri Lanka A’s hopes of mounting a fightback were dented early as Brar, supported by Auqib Nabi Dar and Thakur, ripped through the top order to leave the hosts struggling at 49/4.

Ashen Bandara offered the only meaningful resistance with a counter-attacking 87 off 86 balls, striking 11 fours and two sixes. Alongside Anjala Bandara, he added 70 runs for the sixth wicket to briefly steady the innings.

But Brar returned to break the partnership, dismissing both set batters before cleaning up the tail to register his maiden six-wicket haul in first-class cricket. Off-spinner Saransh Jain chipped in with two wickets as Sri Lanka A were bowled out for 209.

Needing just 33 runs for victory, India A’s openers completed the chase without alarm. B Sai Sudharsan remained unbeaten on 25, while Aman Mokhade finished on 11 not out as the visitors reached the target in just 6.2 overs.

The victory capped a successful tour for India A, who added the unofficial Test series to the 50-over tri-series title they had already secured earlier in the tour.

Brief scores: Sri Lanka A 366 & 209 (Ashen Bandara 87; Gurnoor Brar 6-68, Saransh Jain 2-66) lost to India A 543 (Ruturaj Gaikwad retired hurt, Keshara Nuwantha 5 wickets) & 36/0 (B Sai Sudharsan 25*, Aman Mokhade 11*) by 10 wickets.
