A young India team under the captaincy of Harmanpreet Kaur will take on New Zealand in the opening match of the ICC Women’s World T20 starting tomorrow. The first match of women’s World tournament will be played on Friday, 9th November at the Providence Stadium in Guayana.

The ICC Women’s World T20 2018 will be held from 9th November to 24th November. All matches of the tournament will be played in West Indies.

 

Ten teams — Australia, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Windies, Bangladesh and Ireland — will compete with each other in West Indies to lift the prestigious trophy.

 

Defending champions West Indies will start their campaign against Bangladesh on Saturday. Windies are placed in Group A along with England, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Team India is placed in Group B along with favourite Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan and Ireland.
