He was a brilliant prospect, says Manoj Prabhakar

Manoj Prabhakar has said Pradeep Sangwan “never bothered” to listen to him when he advised him against spending long hours at the gymnasium to build his upper-body muscles.“I used to ask him not to work out so much as it was bound to affect his bowling.
“You will become an ordinary bowler’ was what I told him but he did not listen to me," Prabhakar said today when asked to comment on the dope-tainted cricketer, adding: “Body-building has become fashionable these days. Cricketers are more bothered about their looks now and the Indian Premier League is to be blamed for this. Once I asked Sangwan: ‘What are you preparing for, cricket in the daytime or night parties?’”
Sangwan refused to be persuaded that muscular and broad shoulders alone did not make for increased pace. “He used tell me his physique would help him bowl at 140kmph.
I told him he wouldn’t even get to the 130 kmph mark and I was right. His bulging body did not allow him to swing the ball,” explained Prabhakar.  I have not seen an athlete like him.”
Virat Kohli said doping in sport is simply not acceptable and called for the harshest possible punishment for those who bring disrepute to the game.
