In the aftermath of the shooting outside Salman Khan's home, Mumbai's Crime Branch detains the brother of the prime suspect, prompting further scrutiny into the incident.
‘Chhetri wave’ sweeps Twitter, Captain Marvel has everyone in awe.
After his message to the nation, where he pleaded with people to support and encourage the Indian Football Team, thousands flocked to the Mumbai Football Arena, some travelling from northern states, some making the journey all the way from south.
India were taking on Kenya, in what was a landmark game as Captain Marvel Sunil Chhetri was making his 100th appearance. It was a fitting tribute to the legend – a packed stadium, a sea of blue, and chants of ‘Chhetri Chhetri’ reverberating all around. And he didn’t disappoint, scoring a brace, including a delightful chip, as India won the game 3-0. It took Sunil Chhetri’s tally to 61 , putting him just behind the two greats – Cristiano Ronaldo, who has 81, followed by Messi’s 64 strikes for Argentina.
It was an exciting game, one that will long be remembered. There were fireworks on the pitch, and off it, too. The Twitterati were in fine form, and Sunil Chhetri was trending for all the right reasons. Probably, one of India’s finest sports stars, the man had Twitter all praise and in awe of him.

There wasn’t any doubt that #Chhetri would put on a show for the fans after inviting them. Let’s hope this new-found fandom isn’t like the one we saw during u17 World Cup. Keen to see how many turn up for New Zealand game and beyond #IndianFootball #INDvKEN
