FA Cup semi-final draw revealed

Gianfranco Zola, Chelsea legend, on Sunday conducted the FA Cup semi-final draw which pitted Premier League heavyweights Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United against each other, with the other semi involving Chelsea and Southampton.

Tottenham were the first side to book their progress in the last-four with a comfortable 3-0 win away at Swansea City on Saturday, while Manchester United followed suit with an unconvincing 2-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion later.

Southampton ended Wigan Athletic’s fairytale run in the early kick-off on Sunday with a 2-0 triumph before Chelsea left it late to seal a 2-1 result over Leicester City (AET) at the King Power Stadium.

The semi-finals will take place over the weekend of April 21-22.

The winners of the semis will make the final, which takes place on Saturday, May 19 and will pick up £900,000 from The FA prize fund while each losing semi-finalist will pocket £450,000, the FA confirmed on their official website.
