Star Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has now gone on record saying that the team will try and make a turn around as quickly as possible after there has been an evident slump in their performance post the World Cup.

The Bangla tigers were not only whitewashed by Sri Lanka but also faced a heartbreaking defeat in the one-off Test match against Afghanistan. Although Bangladesh managed to reach the finals of the T20I tri-series, they had to share the trophy as rain washed out the final encounter.

“We believe we are a good team. Every team goes through a transition period and currently we are in that position,” Shakib was quoted as saying by The Daily Star at the UNICEF ceremony in New York.

Bangladesh are scheduled to tour India in November and play three T20s and two Tests.

“It won’t take long before we can start to perform as we did before. We have two World Cups in front of us, starting with the T20 World Cup. I firmly believe that we will make our country proud in there,” added Bangladesh’s Test and T20 captain.
