East Bengal outplayed Jamshedpur FC 6-0 in their second match of the Durand Cup on Tuesday at the East Bengal Ground in Kolkata.

Jaime Santos Colado (5′, 7′), Vidyasagar Singh (75′, 79′), Pintu Mahata (31′) and Boithang Haokip (90+2′) were bang on target from the beginning of the game.

The carnage started from the third minute when Colado won a penalty after being fouled by the opposition goalkeeper Amrit Gope inside the box and successfully stepped up to convert from the spot.

In the 6th minute, Colado got another opportunity to score a goal and accepted it wholeheartedly.

Pintu Mahata scored the third goal for East Bengal which was his first-ever in the East Bengal jersey (earlier played for Mohun Bagan). Mahata dodged the Jamshedpur FC defenders to break into a run and then converted wonderfully with ease while Gope was completely clueless.

After this, Vidyasagar put 2 goals in the net in a span of 4 minutes to make matters worse for Jamshedpur FC.

In the finishing minutes, Boithang received a brilliant pass from Vidyasagar and deposited it into the net to make it 6-0 for East Bengal.

A weak defence of Jamshedpur looked entirely helpless in front of the East Bengal strikers throughout the match.
