KOLKATA, 3 JUNE: Jagmohan Dalmiya (in photo) today promised to put in his best effort during his tenure as the interim chief of BCCI&’s working group in cleaning up the mess that cricket has found itself in in the recent weeks.
Dalmiya stated that Ajay Shirke and Sanjay Jagdale will be given 24 hours to reconsider their decisions following which the vacancies will be filled up as per provisions in the constitution of the BCCI. When asked whether he would consider making changes to the format, including after-match parties of the Indian Premier League he said he is keeping all options open and would contemplate them in the near future.“I don’t have any medicine that could get you instant result. We don’t have a magic solution. We will try our best,” he said.
