A molestation case filed by actress turned businesswomen Preity Zinta against industrialist Ness Wadia in 2014 was disposed of by the Bombay High Court on Wednesday (10th October), news agency ANI has reported.
Earlier, Ness Wadia had filed a petition seeking that the case be cancelled. The court’s decision comes just two days after it suggested Preity Zinta to consider “finishing off” the case.
Earlier, the advocate for Kings XI Punjab co-owner had told the court that Zinta was willing to settle the matter if Ness Wadia was ready to apologise. However, Ness Wadia’s counsel Abad Pondahad said the industrialist was not ready to apologise.

Justice Ranjit More had said, “Just finish it off now.”
The alleged incident had taken place on May 30, 2014, during an Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab at the Wankhede Stadium.
Both Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia are co-owners of the Punjab based IPL team Kings XI Punjab.
As per the actress, Wadia was abusing the staff of the team over ticket distribution and Preity Zinta had asked him to calm down as KXIP was winning the match. After the Veer-Zaara actress asked him to calm down, he allegedly abused and molested her by grabbing her arm.
Following the incident, Preity Zinta had lodged a police complaint against Wadia on June 13, 2014. In February 2018, police had filed a chargesheet against the industrialist. Later, Wadia approached the high court seeking cancellation of the case.
