The way Virat Kohli is shattering records, it seems that even the sky is not the limit for him.

The former Indian skipper, Sunil Gavaskar, while writing in his column for the Times of India, hailed Virat and said the battle between Kohli and Proteas pacer Kagiso Rabada is worth watching.

“The Indian skipper is in sublime form and has shown he is way above other batsmen in the world. His battle with Kagiso Rabada is worth going miles to watch and Rabada is the only bowler who the Indian skipper has had to watch out for,” Sunil Gavaskar said.

“There is also the not so small matter of the return of AB de Villiers to the South African line-up. The world knows what a game changer de Villiers can be and the Proteas will be hoping that he helps them turn things around and maintain their work record on the Pink day. He himself has played some incredible knocks on Pink days and another one could well be inspirational for the likes of Markram and company,” Gavaskar wrote.

In the on-going series between India and South Africa, Virat Kohli has been in exceptionally good form. Well even though, Virat’s sensational 153-run knock in Centurion was not able to avoid the major Test series defeat but the way Men-in-Blue are looking dominant in the ODI, it seems they might rewrite the history.

If Virat Kohli’s squad manages to clinch the series, they will become the first Indian side to do so in South Africa. Till now Indian team is leading the series with 3-0.
